Hello and welcome!
I started running ultra trail races in 2016 and haven’t looked back. I love the community, the growth that happens through the process, and being in beautiful Mother Nature.
Running has been such an important companion in my life carrying me through the loss of both of my parents and the many other ups and downs that came my way. My biggest running related accomplishment is setting the fastest known female time on the 223- Mile Ouachita Trail in 2021 with 12 close (and amazing) friends helping me along the way.
By day, I’m a Vice President of Administration for Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana in which our team serves youth through 7 clubs in 6 parishes with more to come. (Shameless plug for donations here since I believe in the work we do!)
As a Race Director I value inclusivity, course safety, support, participant resiliency, and fun! Our experienced team will do our part to get you to the finish line and we can’t wait to see you accomplish your goal!

Husband of the year goes to Justin! An avid ultra runner himself, with many 100 mile races under his belt, Justin will provide year round support with planning and logistics.
Race weekend he fill in gaps wherever is needed and getting to know race participants.
Justin and Fawn have spent years traveling the country participating in trail races and are grateful to bring some of those experiences to local runners through Second Growth Running Company.
Jimmy is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys cycling, hiking, and running. While a trail runner for several years before he ventured into ultra marathons he made the leap in 2019 into ultras even completing a 100 mile race!
Jimmy will be assisting in a variety of ways from logistics to planning to making sure the participants have a great experience!
Edie founded Paix Running Company in 2016 with her inaugural race being Red Dirt Ultra. She has been an ultra runner since 2010 and continues setting and knocking down running goals. She has been a mentor to me through many years and she was the first (and only at the time) female I met locally that had completed a 100 mile race. That sparked my interest and we became fast friends. It’s an honor to continue her race directing legacy with this race. She has other races so check them out HERE!
